UPCOMING EVENTS
Plan now to join us on THANKSGIVING MORNING at 10 am for a Thanksgiving service of praise, worship, and gratitude for our Lord, for His many and mighty blessings unto us!
We ask the Lord to encamp His angels around: our sick, shut-in, traveling, bereaved, and young people at home and away. We asks the Lord’s supernatural blessings of strength, faith, comfort, and healing of all who have said, “Pray for me!”
We ask a special prayer for the Blakney and Dunbar Families experiencing multiple medical crises.
NJBC Bible Study/Prayer Service via ZOOM on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Please join us in praise and prayer at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/8682363959. Read Colossians 3:23-24, verse 23, which tells us, “Whatever you do, work heartily As for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward.” Have you ever wondered why God commands us in His word to serve one another? It is because, as Christians, we are serving the Lord Jesus Christ.
Yet have you found that some in our world make this task incredibly difficult? Have you felt discouraged and wanted to give up on the service? Be not discouraged, for with God, all things are possible. The Bible provides a definition of service that can help us obey the Lord's instructions, no matter who or how difficult the service recipient may be. The key to such service is that God is actually the one whom we serve.
Knowing the underlying motive of our service will impact the quality of our service. You will find whatever your task, if your goal is to glorify God, you can give it your best and His strength. When a signed a test by God, we must trust Him to use us for His purpose, even if our labors should appear fruitless to us or to others. When we are serving our Maker, we never know whose eyes may be open, because they see the love of our Savior through our service to Him.
When service to Jesus is our motivation, we will not need worldly approval or even proof of the impact of our service effort. We need only to know, as we are told in Hebrews 11:6, God is pleased and promises to reward those who serve Him.
Onward Christian soldiers.

Hello Saints,
Have you ever heard someone wonder aloud that since the Lord has promised in His word to provide, why doesn't He always meet our needs? If you have ever been one to wonder about such, think about it. Was your request a need or a desire? A need is something essential, according to God's will for our life. Yet a desire is something we want for ourselves or others and is frequently based on the expectation of enjoyment, ease, or comfort.
Nothing is wrong with a desire, as long as it is within God's will and way. But the Lord never promised to grant all our "desires". so, not receiving what we "want" is not an indicator of God's faithfulness. He promised to meet our needs. And the Lord determines what is best for us, be it a want or a need.
So maybe we should examine our wants and needs. If it seems the Lord is withholding something you deem essential, trust that what He is working on will be even better!
Love you in the Lord,
Sis. G
