KEEP IN PRAYER AND IN MIND
Lord we ask that You encamp Your angels around: the sick, shut-in, our people at home and away, traveling, recuperating: and the bereaved. Your special mercy, grace, favor, and blessings as they deal with a variety of health challenges and/or other life issues/adversities. We ask and thank You Lord for the love and protective covering You have placed on all on our prayer list who are “standing in the need of special prayer” at this time. Please Lord, guide our steps, and illuminate our pathways, and grant us the strength and wisdom to navigate the challenges ahead, trusting in your boundless love and unwavering grace. For you Lord, are ever our keeper, protector, and our salvation.

Do you know someone who is down, distraught, lonely, or bearing a heavy load? You do the right thing and tell them about Jesus, reassuring them of His love, care, and ability to handle the situation. Then what?
Sometimes, it is not enough to merely quote the scriptures and be on your merry way. In Galatians 6:2 and Philippians 2:4; 4:14) we are told that we should care for one another and share in one another’s distress. Would you tell a hungry man about the Lord and His love for us but not share your bread?
We need each other for we all have burdens to bear and we never know when our turn will come to bear the heavy load. Let us lean on Christ’s strength to minister to the needs of others and find ways to lighten the load! And you need to know and understand it is not always about giving money. For those overwhelmed with responsibility, help may come in the form of making meals, sharing a holiday basket, giving a ride, writing out bills, an evening of babysitting, help cleaning the house, a tank of gas, or just listening. Such help lets a person “see” Christ through you, rather than listen to someone who may seem to have it all but has no idea of how hard life can sometimes be!
Want to ease another’s burden? Show them that Christ is a burden bearer by finding creative ways through Christ and His Word to help lift and shift their burdens to our burden bearer, Jesus Christ!
