If most of us were asked if we are God’s servant, we would likely and boldly confirm that He is our King and we are His servants. But for that statement to be true, you must also be able to say yes in answer to these questions which show if you are truly His servant at heart: Are you willing to serve not only Christ but are you presently serving others in the name and spirit of Jesus Christ?
f you are presently serving others in the name and spirit of Jesus Christ, is that service without thought or demand for associated recognition, rewards, or rights? If you cannot answer, Yes, then you are only giving “lip service” about being a “servant” A true “servant” is not only one who has a heart for service or a desire to be a better “servant, but a true “servant” is actually engaged in serving.
In James 1:22-25, we are cautioned to be doers of the word and not hearers only, if we are to be blessed of God for what we do in His name! The good thing is that through God’s grace, we can all grow in our desire, ability and effectiveness to be a servant, if we choose to do so. But we must study His word and live His Word. Choose you this day.
Will you a hearer and a doer of His Word?
Remember, only the way of the cross leads home!

Hello Saints,
Have you ever heard someone wonder aloud that since the Lord has promised in His word to provide, why doesn't He always meet our needs? If you have ever been one to wonder about such, think about it. Was your request a need or a desire? A need is something essential, according to God's will for our life. Yet a desire is something we want for ourselves or others and is frequently based on the expectation of enjoyment, ease, or comfort.
Nothing is wrong with a desire, as long as it is within God's will and way. But the Lord never promised to grant all our "desires". so, not receiving what we "want" is not an indicator of God's faithfulness. He promised to meet our needs. And the Lord determines what is best for us, be it a want or a need.
So maybe we should examine our wants and needs. If it seems the Lord is withholding something you deem essential, trust that what He is working on will be even better!
Love you in the Lord,
Sis. G
