PRAYER AND IN MIND
Lord we ask that You encamp Your angels around: the sick, shut-in, our people at home and away, traveling, recuperating: and the bereaved. We ask and thank You Lord for the love and protective covering You have placed on all on our prayer list who are “standing in the need of special prayer” at this time. Please Lord, guide our steps, and illuminate our pathways, and grant us the strength and wisdom to navigate the challenges ahead, trusting in your boundless love and unwavering grace. For you Lord, are ever our keeper, protector, and our salvation.

The world today is full of diehard sports fans full of allegiance and faithfulness to their team, the quarterback etc., - win or lose! But on the other hand, there are many fickle followers whose team allegiance change as frequently as they change their clothes based on whether the team made the play-off, the quarter back had a bad came, or the like.
Surprise! Surprise! Sports fans are not the only fickle people. Read Matthew 21:6-11. Read here how the people honored, praised, and cheered Jesus as He rode into town on a donkey. Yet, only a few days later, some of the same folks were calling for Jesus’ crucifixion (Matthew 27:20-23). What an amazing change between Sunday and Friday! For some, it was “nothing personal”, rather their fickle actions were based on nothing more personal than a need to be with and a part of, the “in-crowd”.
Saints, let us not waiver or be fickle in our love for and relationship with Jesus! You find some “Saints”, worshipping Jesus on Sunday but then finding Him, His will, and His way, too intrusive and restrictive during the rest of the week or anytime others considered the “in-crowd” are watching!
If we seek to make it into God’s kingdom, we must be careful to remember and to follow Christ’s will and way always. and not to be a “people pleaser” who follows the way of the “in-crowd”! If you love the Lord and seek to make it into His Kingdom, remember to follow Christ and not the crowd for it is “the way of the cross that leads home!”
