KEEP IN PRAYER AND IN MIND
Lord, we ask that You encamp Your angels around: the sick, shut-in, our people at home and away, traveling, recuperating, and the bereaved. We ask and thank You, Lord, for the love and protective covering You have placed on all on our prayer list who are “standing in the need of special prayer” at this time. We offer special thanks, Lord, for Your blessing, Minister Wike, for returning home safely, and for your continued blessing for Sister Lucria Blakney, who is scheduled to enter the hospital this week and has requested our continued prayers. We pray. As always, may You guide our steps, illuminate our pathways, and grant us the strength and wisdom to navigate the challenges ahead in Your name and for Your glory!

VISITORS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME AT NEW JERUSALEM BAPTIST CHURCH! GOD LOVES YOU AND SO DO WE!
We invite you to attend our weekly services at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, where you will experience uplifting worship and inspiring messages. Our services are designed to help you encounter God and deepen your faith. Everyone is welcome, so bring your family and friends to share in our joy and celebration.
At New Jerusalem Baptist Church, we offer engaging Bible study groups that cater to all ages and backgrounds. These studies are a wonderful way to dive deeper into Scripture, ask questions, and grow in understanding. Join us as we explore the Word together and build lasting friendships through fellowship.
When we are blessed with children, we put a lot of thought and work into them “growing up”. We teach them right from wrong, provide food, shelter, education, training, etc. Why? Because we love them! But can you see the “work” God has put into “growing you up, spiritually because He loves us? Ephesians 4:15 tells us, “ We are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ. 1Peter 2:2 tells us about how to grow up in the Lord, saying, “Like newborn babies long for the pure milk of the Word so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation.”
Saints, just as food is essential for physical growth, spiritual food is necessary for spiritual growth. Your food and drink for spiritual growth is in your Bible, God’s word. Long for your spiritual food just as a baby hungrily eats and drinks the sustenance they cry to receive. When you receive the Word of God, feast upon it! Read in Jeremiah 15:16 how he feasted on the Word of God.
Take the time today to acknowledge that you need and want the sustenance of God’s Word. Open your Bible and drink. When you do so faithfully, you will grow strong as God intended when he gave His life that you and I might have a right to eternal life!
VISITORS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME AT NEW JERUSALEM BAPTIST CHURCH! GOD LOVES YOU AND SO DO WE!
We all have experienced doing or saying something that we later regret. It is practically impossible to live on Earth without experiencing regret at some time. Alexander Grand Bell once said, “When one door closes, another door opens, but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.” We must be careful not to let our regrets consume us, because if we are not careful, such regret can control us. You might get to the point of shame for things you have done. You want to step out on God’s promise or promises but feel totally unworthy, hang your head, and let regrets block a door which God has opened for you! You may even feel your regrets are so big that you don’t deserve God’s help! Well, in truth, none of us deserves it, oh, but by God’s grace, He has made the forgiveness a blessing available to us.
When you sincerely ask God to forgive you of your sins, He throws your sins into the sea of forgetfulness and remembers them no more. The thing is that we must do our best to learn from past mistakes and with God’s help, rise above them. Pray, ask, and praise God for helping you to keep things in perspective as you face life’s challenges. It is essential that, regardless of the challenge, we never tire of remaining persistent and rising up to give God all glory, honor, and praise for the things He has done. Read Psalm 150:6, which admonishes us: Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
