KEEP IN PRAYER AND IN MIND
Lord we ask that You encamp Your angels around: the sick, shut-in, our people at home and away, traveling, recuperating: and the bereaved. Your special mercy, grace, favor, and blessings as they deal with a variety of health challenges and/or other life issues/adversities. We ask and thank You Lord for the love and protective covering You have placed on all on our prayer list who are “standing in the need of special prayer” at this time. Please Lord, guide our steps, and illuminate our pathways, and grant us the strength and wisdom to navigate the challenges ahead, trusting in your boundless love and unwavering grace. For you Lord, are ever our keeper, protector, and our salvation.

As Christians, we all have or at least should have, the desire to continually grow through faith, to spiritual maturity. You may love going to church or listening to Christian radio programs. You might talk about everything you hear and assume you're growing because your knowledge is increasing. You might even sound like a godly person and be admired for the ability to quote chapter and verse. But if you don't take the next step and allow God to touch others' lives by seeing Him through the godly life you live, you're missing the point. It is not enough to be only instructed by the Word of God for then we are just being educated---filling our heads with information.
Real spiritual growth is the result of practicing the truth you receive from God. He wants you to share what He gives you--that is, through loving and serving others and sharing the truth of the gospel. Our example is Jesus, who said in Matthew 20:28, that He did not come to be served, but to serve even the lowest outcasts in His society (Matt. 20:28). He could have exalted Himself and spent all His time preaching and teaching. Instead, Jesus did only the Father's will, which was to reveal His heart of love to a broken world. The Lord gave sacrificial service and He calls us to follow in His footsteps.
God's plan is to reach the world through us. If that weren't the case, He would have taken us to heaven as soon as we were saved. But we are here for a purpose--to live out Christ's life alongside hurting people who desperately need to experience His love. Get to stepping, in Jesus’ name!
